Summary. Authors present a case of 10 year old girl with spondylometaphyseal dysplasia who had MRI of the hips during acute phase of disease and after 1 year of clinical follow-up in remission stage. MRI was able to pick up significant changes within affected hip during acute phase and then changes after one year of follow-up which explain clinical signs and symptoms. Compare to MRI performed standard plain X-ray was without significant changes in both acute phase and after one year of follow-up.
