Bacterial osteomyelitis causes serious problem, despite continued progress toward understanding its pathophysiology and optimal management. Definitive therapy often requires a combined antibiotical and surgical treatment. Causative pathogens are most often resistant to common used antibiotics. New methods of local antibacterial delivery are needed.
