Abstract provided by Publisher
At 123 children (96 girls and 27 boys) aged from 8 to 16 with the I° scoliosis, the moments of muscle strength of hip-joints were assessed. At these children, statistically crucial differences (p<0,05), the asymetry of the strength of flexor and extensor muscles of hip-joints were recorded. However, after six months of exercises strengthening the weakened muscles, the difference in the strength of flexor and extensor muscles of hip-joints decreased to the statistically insignificant level (p>0,05), which suggests the useful influence of such exercises on the posture correction at children with lateral idiopathic scoliosis.
